Stop house repossession

If you decide not to turn up for your court appearance then the repossession of your house will more than likely be ordered! This is then suspended for 30 days to allow you time to make alternative mortgage arrangements. After 30 days, if the situation has not changed, a full possession order is granted and a recorded delivery letter giving notice of your possession date will be sent to the secured address.

If you ever reach this stage you must act fast. Contact the court that issued the possession order and request form N255 to appeal. Complete this as fully with an appeal fee of £30.00 as possible and get it back to the court as quickly as possible. A date will then be given for an appeal hearing, usually the day before the repossession date.
